6.5 miles north-northwest of the town of Crane Lake, 24.5 miles north-northeast of
Orr. Voyageurs National Park. Growing near the southern shoreline of Brown's Bay
in Sand Point Lake (ID 69061700), a large and deep 8,500 acre mesotrophic lake
situated in the Border Lakes Ecological Subsection. Part of the Namakan Reservoir
system. Small, sheltered bay; water stagnant and tea-stained. Individuals locally
common, fully submerged in 45 centimeters of water. Musky odor. Associates
include Nymphaea odorata, Najas Jlexilis, Potamogeton vaseyi, P. gramineusf P.
spirillus, Vallisneria americana. Clay substrate. NPS Permit: VOYA-2021-
SCI-0002. Elevation: 339 m.
