Growing near the northern shoreline of Turtle Lake (ID 62006100), a 450 acre mesotrophic. Jwsin situated in the Anoka Sand Plain Ecological Subsection. Very good water clarity. Heavily developed shoreline. Long stretches of gradually sloping, sand-silt littoral zone. Individuals locally sparse, fully submerged in 45 centimeters of water. Full sun. Associates include Chara braunii, C. globularis, Najas flexilis, Stuckenia pectinata, Potamogeton richardsonii, P. gramineus, P. zoster iformis, Myriophyllum spicatum, Elodea canadensis, Vallisneria americana, Zannichellia palustris, Heteranthera dubia.
