Rolling to moderately rugged bedrock terrain four miles northeast of the town
of Crane Lake, 25 miles northeast of Orr.
Small shallow bay in the northwest end of Little Vermilion Lake;
Substrate: Fine mud/clay; Depth: 0.1 m
Associates: Crassula aquatica, Elatine minima, Isoetes echinospora, Sagittaria rigida, Potamogeton
natans, Eleocharis acicularis, Glyceria boreale.
Notes: Locally abundant. Forming a quite extensive colony (thousands of square feet in extent), in a
fairly homogeneous setting that extends -25 feet (or more) from shore in places.
