Kalahari, Oxford Pan, on west bank near Lost City Hills, 32 km along Rietfontein tum-off from Kgaligadi road: 26° 55.396’ S: 20° 14.812'E On flats at foot of hills around salt pan, along roadside, in full sun. Well- drained soil of gravelly calcrete sand. Succulent Karoo with Rhigosum trichotomum, Acacia melifera, Rhus burchellii and Stipagrostis.. Many stemmed shrub up to 3 m high, bark dark brown. Taproot thick and fibrous. Leaves opposite, simple, hairy, grey, 20-30 x 6-8 mm, leaf margins dentate. H. J. Venter & A. Venter 9772 29 April 2002 00210940
