Notes Tree 35 m high, 60 cm diameter.
Buttresses thin, upper part straight, the
rest concave, 40 cm out. Bark pale brown,
soft, peeling off into small pieces, 3-4
mm thick, inner part like tissue paper.
Living bark 8 mm thick, outer part pale
brown, inner part pale brown red, fibrous.
Fl.buds greenish. Calyx tube & lobes pale
yellow; the latter turning red after
anthesis; disc yellow, stamens pale
yellow; young fruits pale green with red
calyx lobes. Ripe fruit red (taken Oct.
1960). Spirits.
