slightly disturbed lowland wet forest with canopy of Caapnosperaua, Clinostigga
ponapensis, Parinari, Myristica insularis, also with Rglaea, Cyathea, Pandanus,
Maesa, Syzygiue, and understory of Freycinetia and ferns, elev. 800-240 §.
Sparsely branching shrub 1 a tall in ravine, leaves paler green beneath, stipules
deciduous. Flowers with white corolla; long-styled »orpfr. Occasional locally.
