Bolivia. Santa Cruz. Climbing from the base of Cerro Volcán at the point where Quebrada Chofroso crosses the Santa cruz-Cochabamba highway, 1 km W of Bermejo up the slope to Laguna Volcán.

Habitat
dense semi-humid to humid forests quite mossy in aspect. Soil reddish-purplish brown with some seeps present. Collected by Herzog as 'Tres Cruces', a name unknown on modern maps or to natives. dead tree.
