Closed arboreal restinga near the coast. On white sand.

Description
Locally very common erect herb on open areas of whit sand (also seen on the dunes at Itapuâ - Salvador). Leaves dark bottle-green, shiny above, paler below; flowers yellow; calyx yellowish green with purplish red markings on upper surface. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
