Petals fimbriate at margins. Stamens yellow. Ovary yellow, pilose. Mixed Dipterocarp forest, associates: Shorea, Sapotaceae. Morphology: Tree 20 m tall, 15 cm dbh. Outer bark light reddish-brown, thin, slightly flaking. Inner bark pale yellowish-orange. Twigs w/rust indumentum. Leaves coriaceous, deeply ribbed, villous hairs rust. Stipules 3/4 cm, woody spine.
