Stream bank with gentle slope in drainage ditch, in frill sun, damp soil of
sandstone sand and loam. Introduced and abundant. Grassland with Rumex,
Plantago, Agrostis.
Perennial grass of 30cm high, forms subterranean rhizomes. Leaves simple,
hairy, alternate, green, margins entire. Species dioecious, female plants collected.
