Plain, in frill sun. Well drained aeolian sand of quartzite. Native and common,
grazed by game. Thorny savanna with Acacia erioloba, A. melífera, Grewia
flava, Eragrostis lehmanmana and Aristida spp..
Herb 40 cm high, taproot about 10 cm long. Leaves simple, alternate, linear,
hairy. Fowers in terminal, yellow capitulum, 6 mm in diam.
