    Open forest with bamboo; terrain gently undulating occasionally dissected by streams. Guadua sarcocarpa beginning to dominate again 18 years after die-back. Occasional. Sandy clay soil.

    Tree. Shrub or small tree to 2 m, flowers erect, corolla white, limbs geniculate (abruptly bent upwards distally), domatia on underside of leaves. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
