On plateau, in foil sun among abandoned builder's rubble. Well-drained
gravelly shale.. Grassland with Altemanthera pungens, Cynodon dactylon and
Pennisetum clandestinum.
Perennial, geophytic herb, 3 cm high, with fibrous taproot. Leaves with hairy
petiole, alternate, simple, green, glabrous above and hairy below, stipules
present. Flowers fascicled, tepals hyaline. Fruit a membranous capsule.
