Along roadside across flatiands, in hill sun. Well-drained soil of aeolian sand
and loam.. Grassland to Nama Karoo with Nidorella, Rhus ciliata, Themeda and
Aristida..
Annual herb up to 70 cm high. Leaves alternate, simple, greyish-green, hairy
with glandular trichomes, exudate sticky and aromatic. Native and common.
