Habit etc. Semi-climber, on Aeacdta gerrardiiT up to 35*,
scandent. Bole & brs. irreg. in shape. Does not climb with
tendrils but drapes itself over supp. tree anchored with el-
bow-bent stem & branches. Regenerates freely in this area.
Brs. pendulous.	Bole up to 12" diam. very poor form, numerous
bends ^liAjksts-	Bark Rale S^ey, rough, with small indef. cro-
codile-sKin pattern. Slash OB 1mm. pale buff to brown. IB
up to 3 mm. thin green line, then buff. In fr. Immature fr!
green with pale streaks like a gooseberry. Ripe fr. darkening
to maroon from*pink.
Growing on feetile, heavy (sandy top soil) alluv. soil
at Mambova, about 3-^00 yds. from the Zambesi in pure Ac
