On gentle north-easthem hill slope, pasture, in foil sun. In well-drained rocky
soil of doleritic sandy-loam. Common and native. Grassland with Gnaphalium,
Cynodon dactylon, Setaria and Cyperus.
Perennial herb, 1 m high. Leaves compound, alternate, glabrous, green above
and greyish below, leaf margin dentate. Capitulum with tubular florets and fruit
an achene.
