On coastal flats in full sun on disturbed land. In well-drained soil of sea sand.
Native and common. Succulent Karoo.
Annual herb, prostrate and 20 cm in diameter. Petiole 2 mm long. Simple,
alternate leaves green and hairy, leaf margins entire. Capitulum with few, white
disc florets, ray florets absent, involucre of 1 row, bracts acute and purple tipped.
