Habítete. Shrub, up to 20f, stems up to 6” d.b.h.o.b.,
rather dense crrown, conical form, heaves very dense shiny
green on upper surfaces. Bark smooth, grey-brown. Slash, OB,
pale brown, 1 mm., thin green line. IB, pale pink, 2 ram.
Exudes latex. Firs, on stems. Buds green-brown. Firs, with
bright red petals.
Habitat Growing at base of Dfeea anthill, with Mundulea,
53O Bvrsocarnus oriental is, Haplocoelum etc. Is not a common
shrub in S.P., seen only glateau in this area. In the Sia-
gatuba area, near edge escarpment nr. Masuku, is growing in
open plateau wl. under Brachystegia spiciforrnis,, Eteythro-
nhloeum africanum. Also along dry water courses & stream
in escarpment E2.
