dent, open rdrra, epicormie shoots on stems spring up as older
branches sag. Bark + smooth, slightly ”stringy” on lower
stems. Slash, OB, paper thin, IB very pale green, 0*3 cms.
In fruit, fr. waxy white when immature, maroon when ripe.
Habitat An unusual shrub in dense "mutemwa" (Baikiaea ex-
ploited 1931)* byith Dalbergia glandulosa, Q ombre turn celastr-
oides & C. eleagnoides, Popowia , Canthium martinii , Kallocoelum
f oliolosum, Croton schefifcLeri .""etc. under Baikiaea, Pteleonsis
.anisoptera, Pteroc;-rous antunesii, Croton gratissimus. Loncho-
carpus nelsii, etc4 on ,fI\.aleh8rffr sand.
