Canada. Northwest Territories. On level land above Kakisa River near highway bridge. Survey along the Enterprise-Mackenzie River Highway.

Habitat
Dug 8 inches down to frozen peat. In white spruce--black spruce--larch dominated forest. Floor deeply covered with feather mosses and lichens. Shrubs: Shepherdia, Myrica, Rosa, Potentilla, Betula glandulosa, Empetrum, Ledum groenlandicum. Herbs: Mitella, Orchis, Linnaea, Habenaria, Geocaulon, Oryzopsis. Sphagnum rare, in scattered mounds. Frequent.
