Elevation: Plateau, well-drained soil, humus-rich loam of sandstone along roadside. Full sun. Native and common. Grassland with Blumea, Setaria, Themeda tnandra, Allotcropsis, Pygmaeothamnus, Tephrosia and Ipomoea. Semi-prostrate perennial herb, 30-40 cm high. Leaves simple, opposite, Jjjj* green. 40x10 cm, leaf margins entire. Flowers in a terminal spike, bright blue, trumpet-shaped, 10 mm long. H. J. Venter & A. Venter 9656 09 December 2001 00210899
