Locality:
Borneo. W. Kalimantan. Serawai. Sungai Merah; 1 km to
W of camp along ridge, old Gaharu trail, and surrounding
environs.
Hill Dlpterocarp forest, associates include: Shorea,
Dipterocarpus, Durio, Castanopsis.
Growing on steep slope.
Morphology:
Tree 10 m tall, 12 cm dbh. Q*g#r bark dark brown, narrowly
fissured longitudinally. Inner bark pale orange. Leaves
coriaceous, rather stiff, dark green above, veins sunken,
glaucous# color beneath. Fruit yellowish-green maturing
maroon. Occasional.
