On gentle southern slope of stream bank, in full sun. In damp soil of doleritic
sandy-clay. Common and native. Grassland with Lycium hirsutum, Setaria and
Cyperus.
Tree, 6 m high and 20 cm at DBH, bark rough and roots reddish. Simple leaves
aheraateglabrous, green above and glaucous below, leaf margin dentate.
