    Tree, 10 m; 25 cm dbh. Bark reddish-brown; covered in green lichens. Inner bark red, laminated. Wood yellow-brown. Young parts with caducous white tomentum. Flowers 8 cm across. Sepals green. Petals bright yellow. Anthers white. Carpels (5-)6.
