River bank and bed in frill sun. In running water and seasonally waterlogged
black turf of sandstone. Native and occasional. Grassland with Cyperus sp. and
Salix mucronata.
Geophytic sedge with subterranean rhizome, robust plant 1.5 m high. Leaves
simple, glabrous, dark green. Cylindrical, leafles culms with terminal panicle.
