04965390 The FLORA of MAURITIUS (Araliaceae) Polf$eias mauritiana Marais Black River Gorges National Park. La Pétrin area. 20° 24’ 27.3” S, 57° 28' 15.3" E; 658 m elev. Moderately branched tree. 2.5 m tall, growing in open, low vegetation between Sideroxylon thicket and Pandanus swamp. Infloresences terminal, subtended by two younger lateral vegetative branches; 4 secondary inflorescence axes. Flower buds and outer petals chocolate brown; inner surface of petals brownish-pink; disc pale gree with brownish-pink styles & stigmas; filaments brownish- pink, anthers dark purple.
