Habitejc. Liane, going 3O1 up into large Baikiaea pluri.iu-
ga. Stems stout, U’f diam. at base. Bk. smth. grey, bicolour-
ed, new patches very pale grey, powdery. Slash OB, paper thin,
pale brown then thin green line. IB pale buff with slightly
darker buff streaks, rapidly darkening to dirty buff. NOTE.
CFslls, pa^.e,!green tinged with brown (look like Sclerocarya fr}
Some olaTr. still on vines has not apparently flowered this
season yet.
In dense, fire-protected "mufeemwa”, under ± closed Baikiaea
canopy, with Pppowia, Grewia bicolor, Haplocoelum, (janthium
lactescens, Fagara tri.iuga, Oanthium frangula, Combretuqi eleag-
noides, etc. with well developed'‘herb layer on floor. On’
"Kalahari/ sand.
