    Large sandstone outcrops with mixed hardwood (Acer saccharum, Betula lenta, Carya, Liriodendron, Quercus alba, Q. rubra, Q. prinus, Sassafras) – conifer (Pinus rigida, P. strobus, P. virginiana, Tsuga) forest and Rhododendron-Kalmia thickets. among mosses over Quercus rubra root.
