In primary forest.
c. 0°03' N, 10°45* E Alt: 150m
Small tree, c. 8 m high, with lateral branches in whorls on the
orthotropic shoots. Leaves coriaceous, smooth, glassy on both
sides, beneath paler green. Flowers on the branches and
branchlets. Calyx creamy. Corolla somewhat darker creamy
with wine-red radiating marks. Corona white.______________________________
