Disturbed savanna, depression, in partial shade to foil sun, in damp soil of
granitic clay. Native and common.. Phragmitis mauritianus.
Perennial climber with stem tendrils, bark reddish to green, plants densely hairy.
Petioles 15-20mm long. Leaves simple, alternate, hairy, bright green and shiny,
sub-cordate, 40x20mm, leaf margin deeply lobed. Stipules present.
Inflorescence solitary. Fruit a bright green, capsule, densely hairy..
