On plateau along roadside in partial shade to foil sun. In well-drained stony soil
of dolomite sand. Native and occasional.. Savanna, with Hyparrhenia hirta.
Perennial gephytic herb, 15 cm high, with tuberous roots. Sessile, simple leaves
opposite, glabrous, bright green, coriaceous, leaf margins dentate to saggitate.
Small, awn-like, paired stipules present White flowers clustered in leaf axiles.
