Habit etc. Shrub/small tree, up to 15* , stems 6!f dbh.
Squat habit, + flat crowned, stems not straight. Bark ±
smooth, a few scattered loose flakes. Slash, OB, paper thin,
IB, pale brown, granular, with pale streaks. Old fr. persis-
tent .
Habitat on skeletal basalt soil, amongst boulders with
mopane, Manilkara, Securinega, Kirkia, Commiphora, Combretum
apiculatumr open savanna along the"""top or the gorge“ Also
along '¿emhezl in open riverine woodland upstream fro® Eastern
Qetarect.
