In well-drained rocky soil of dolerite loam. Exotic and occasional. Grassland with Rhus lancea and Ehretia rigida. Tree 5-6m high. Leaves pinnately compound, glabrous, alternate, aromatic, dark green, with leaflet margin entire. Panicle with small yellowish-green flowers. Fruit spherical, pink, 5x5 mm, seeds brown and aromatic.
