Description: shrub, much branched, to 2 m tall, branching
starting at 0.2 m, lateral branches horizontal; leaves
medium green above, somewhat paler green below with
midrib and secondary nerves whitish; flowers sessile;
corolla lobes red; tube formed by filaments red at the base,
white tinged red higher up; anthers blackish; style thick
and red; stigma green
Habitat: dry semi-deciuous forest, canopy 10-12 m,
emergent trees to 25 m tall
Substrate: limestone, on tsingy
Misc. Notes: preserved in alcohol;
