Submontane forest on steeply dissected terrain, many poles,
strong presence of palms in understory, discontinuous
canopy of ca. 20 m tall with emergents to 35 m.
Tree 15 m, leaves 5-6-jugate, leaf rachis ferrugineous,
pseudostipules 8 mm long, ovate, reddish, slightly narrowed
at base. Sterile. On steep slope.
