LEGIT < NO. regio Western Cape anno 12 June 1998 alt. 860 m Diosma meyeriana Spreng. Citrusdal; Kleinplaas. 1-2 km south of farmyard. Fynbos vegetation. Dirty white sandy soil. Shrublet; 1 m high; with a taproot with side branches. Single- stemmed. Commences branching on the ground. Has a slender, lax appearance especially as it ages. Bark of old plants reddish brown. Leaves green. Flowers dirty white. Abundant in local vicinity; 2 years after a fire. Leaves do not have a particularly strong scent; but the characteristic buchu fruit is noticeable.
