Swamp fringe in seasonally waterlogged clay soil of alluvial. Full sun along roadside. Common to occasional and native. Coastal forest with Phragmites australis and Cyperus sp.. Annual woody herb, up to 3 m high and 3 cm DBH, with shallow taproot system, with bacterial nodules. Petioles 10-12 mm. Leaves pinnateiy compound, 15-20 mm long, leaflets 10x3 mm. Flowers in racemes.
