Tallus on N hill slope of road filling along roadside. Stony soil, well-drained,
sandy gravel of sandstone-dolerite. Full sun. Common, native. Nama Karoo and
grassland mixed, with Eragrosits, Hyparrhenia, Anstida, Reseda and Miscanthus.
Perennial dwarf shrub of 40 cm high. Leaves trifoliate, alternate, leaf margins
entire. Spines absent in this species. Flowers solitary and axillary, papilionaceous
with yellow brownish flag. Fruit a legume.
