Erythrina greenwayi Verde.
A much branched deciduous tree up to 50 ft.
tall with a trunk with large conical brown
spines, branches also spiny, leaves 3-
foliolate with a long petiole and petiolule,
glabrous, pale green above and grey green
below, crown bushy with a long bole, crown
somewhat spreading, pods moon-shaped flat
not woody single seeded. Locally common on
drainage lines on a rocky escarpment with
Acacia tanganyikensis-Delonix elata-Lannea
.stuhlmannii-Dalhergia spp-Commiphora spp.-
Sterculia stemocarpa-Schlerocarya birrea-
Cissus spp.-Adansonia digitata-Baphia sp.-
Quisqualis indica-Macrua parvifolia-Ormo-
