Coastal forest, in foil sun, in well-drained soil of recent sand. Native and
abundant.. Forest margin.
Perennial, spreading dwarf shrub up to 50cm high. Petioles 30mm long. Leaves
shiny dark green, lighter in center along midvein. Inflorescence a terminal
raceme with flowers pink-purple. Fruit a pod 25x8mm, 5-8 segments, covered in
sticky hairs.
