POHNPB: U Municipality. Ridge between Mt. Kupwuriso and Mallalap, near
Dolen Dolenreirei. Low windswept wet forest with Syzygium, Melicope, Eurya,
Elaeocarpus, Timonius, Hoya, Dicranopteris, Nephrolepis, Asplenium nidus,
Dendnobium, Trichoglottis, Davalia, Scleroglossum, Tectaria, other
pteridophytes.
Tree about 15 ft. tall. Fruit green immature round, brown 4-parted spilt
capsuels old. Glossy dk green Ivs adaxially w/ impressed lat veins, below
slightly lighter green. Flws cream colored petals and stamens, yellow-green
gynoecium, yellow nectar disk. Pbhnpeian: Kahmet, Paints
