bPown, rough, indistinct longitudinal fissures. Slash, OB
bright brown with chalky streaks, <¿4. cms. IB, pale pink-red
with pale fibre streaks, rapidly darkening to dirty brown, 2-3

In poor, open fire-scarred tree savannah. Large
trees, co-dominant with this spp. = Acacia nigrescens, Colopho-
spermum mopane , Julbernardia globiflora . 3hrubs	ip 10rhynchus 3
