Bark, dark bPown, rough, indistinct longitudinal fissures. Slash, OB bright brown with chalky streaks, <¿4. cms. IB, pale pink-red with pale fibre streaks, rapidly darkening to dirty brown, 2-3 cms. YieJ^ta^00(i ^ark rope* In poor, open fire-scarred tree savannah.
