Habitat
High quality open ridgetop woodland underlain by sandstone (Middle Atoka Formation). Growing with Helianthus hirsutus, Toxicodendron pubescens, Solidago ulmifolia, Carex muehlenbergii, Scutellaria ovata, Andropogon gerardii, Schizachyrium scoparium, & Festuca versuta, under Quercus marilandica & Carya texana.

Description
Locally common. Thousands of stems in many colonies along ridge. Fresh flowers pale yellow. Plants with strong lemon-like fragrance.
