Myrothamnus flabellifolia Welw.
Open, rocky, quartzitic north slope, Magalliesberg Range,
at the outskirts of Pretoria. Elevation ca 1300 m.
Tough, slender, ascending to suberect, many-stemmed
shrubs up to about 6 dm tall. Plants dioecious. Ovary
of 3 carpels with separate tips. Fruit capsular, the
carpels spreading apart distally and opening ventrally.
