    Small tree 6 m tall, 8 cm dbh. Bark light brown with longitudinal striations. Inner bark pink. Wood white. Wood with strong aroma. Midrib of leaves covered by brown hair. Flower bud greenish-white with brown pilose hairs. Calyx velutinous.
