  • Description

    Shrub 15 feet high or less, wood whitish, soft, odorless and tasteless; bark dark brown, densely covered with yellowish brown lenticels; branches, quite numerous but quite short; leaves horizontally spreading;, the leaflets much darker green above, descending, flat;, inflorescence erect, paniculate, averaging a foot long, greenish yellow throughout, fruits coiled, flattened, obscurely constricted, bright red; the flattened shiny black beans hanging by a slender thread after the pads crack open, nearly circular in shape from the side view, ⅓ to ½ inch across, not hard in this state; "Siancogi".
