Harrismith, Sterkfontein Nature Reserve: 28° 33.302' S: 29° 0.497'E On moderate mountain slope or klooffgorge, in pasture, in full sun. In seasonally waterlogged soil of sandstone loamy black turf. Native and occasional. Grassland. Perennial geophyte, 1.0 m high, with a large subterranean tuber with fleshy roots. Petiole long and hairy. Simple, hairy leaves alternate, leaf blade nearly orbicular, green with teeth of denmtate margine red. Flowers 8 cm in diameter, in umbels of 1-3 flowers, petals free and white, stamens yellow. H. J.
