    On rocky, north-facing slopes. With Symphoricarpos, Artemisia and Amelanchier. Common. Light gray soil, pH ca. 6.0.

    Corollas blue to blue-violet, abaxial throat paler, with 2 whitish ridges; staminode hairs pale yellow; anthers violet, tan with age; inflor. clammy, sweetly fragrant, like nectar. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
