Rather undisturbed primary forest 35 m high, in valley near small streamlet. Terrain level. Deep clayey volcanic soil.

Description
Tree 10 m tall, in large old chablis. Clear bole 4 m, 12 cm dbh, without buttresses. Outer bark: 1 mm thick, dark brown, rather fissured, not peeling off. Inner bark 2 mm thick, outer layer pale red soon turning brown, in cream-colored. Fl. out brown, inside the slips yellow, at the red at base. Fr. not mature, brown.
