Habitat
Slightly disturbed primary forest some 35 m high, along the Toraut river on bank near the water.

Description
Treelet 3 m high, stem 5 cm dbh. Outer bark very thin with fine, shallow fissures. Inner bark 1 mm thick, with some transparant exudate. FI. buds brown, open flowers red inside.
